@domquixote974@JoannaDonnellyL@gardainfo@GardaTraffic I do this. Good bike, cover in matt black. Make sure every brandname including gears brakes, derailers on the bike is covered. If they cant see what spec it is, they dont know what they're stealing and are mire likely toleave it and "customers" cant see what they're buying too.
Terrible to see the fish kill in Leixlip last night on the river Rye. So unnecessary. The pictures taken here shows the impact well down stream at the Ryevale nursing home. Seems like hundreds of fish dead from initial feedback.
Major fish die off in the Rye river near Confey. River pollution to this level is not acceptable. This region is a salmon spawning site trout nursery. We need to address this problem. @DCUWater@IrishWater@EPAIreland
White layer contains a massive spike of #iridium, an element that comes almost exclusively from rocks from outer space. Layer below is #Cretaceous Period, time of the #dinosaurs
Layer above is #Paleocene. No dinosaurs have been found above the iridium layer

@COSullivanTD I'd much rather see grid and local scale energy storage solutions developed and introduced first. Affordable energy storage is what will make renewables truely sustainable.
The Big Old Beech in Catherines park. Trees have a life cycle like ourselves; growth, maturity and decline. This beautiful old beech tree is in decline and fenced off for public safety. It had a crown reduction in the not too distant past.
So you're kinda damned if you do and damned if you don't. One thing is for certain, this beautiful old beech is in decline and is in the golden years of its life. Enjoy the majesty of this spectacular tree as it gazes down upon the liffey.
Where the Rye meets the Liffey. The Rye having lower turbidity and colour meeting the liffey which is composed of water from a catchment with a much wider range of inputs - High colour from upland/peat areas and higher turbidty after the rainfall in the last few weeks.
The Dodder Action Group is one of the finest examples of community led direct action to help keep our natural environments as close to their natural state as posssible. Amazing work folks.
Another tough day today. 13 of us went back to the infamous Bottle Swamp, and it wasn't a pretty sight. We were last there three years ago, and by the time we were finished (it took three visits) the stream and its banks were looking healthy again. For now.... 1/2

What a surprise….triplets born unassisted between calving checks last night! They say the chance of triplets is 1 in 100,000….all being alive and unassisted would be much rarer I’m sure! Their momma loves them now to make sure they all suck and stay healthy!!
For anyone interested in hydrometrics or groundwater, the EPA are putting out these short videos on some of their everyday activities.
