@Ellie__82 The spring will start contracting upon release, accelerating its mass downward. The spring will overcontract due to dynamic overshoot, so that its mass will hit the ball from above, adding impulse equivalent to the energy stored in elastic deformation. A hits the ground first. 🤓

Cute little jet.

The SO-6000 Triton, the first French jet designed in total secrecy during the German occupation of France.
It was built in the immediate post-war period in 5 examples and flew for the first time in November 1946.

@uchujin17 飛行特性の調査ではGlidingしか使用機会がなかったデフレクタですが、マニュアルを見るとエンジン始動、diving、long glideで使用とあり、どうも設計目的は単に冷却器への空気流入抑制、エンジン過冷却防止のようです。
R&M No.2222では意図しない（？）効果が確認されたのかもしれないですが、
