@iamthinbaker@Odoo Entonces: acostumbrarse y disciplina!!! :-)
Satire has historically existed to challenge power.
Its natural target is governments, institutions, ruling classes, dominant ideologies, corporations, religious authorities: those who actually shape society and influence people’s lives.
A comedian “punching up” serves a social function: exposing hypocrisy, arrogance, contradictions and abuses of power through humor.
If comedy mainly targets people with little or no power, it stops being satire in the classical sense and becomes closer to mockery or provocation for its own sake.
And when powerful figures respond to satire with outrage rather than understanding its role, they often end up revealing far more about themselves than the comedian ever could.
@anshkapuriya@github Turning a standard "employee+AI coding tools" into a "developer" has its outcomes.
I wonder if anybody has different expectations.
@LeighWolf@IhabHassane One could then argue that Israelis are 3000years ahead of those Hamas barbarians.
Not really, they’re just behaving on par.
Revenge first, justice will come later…you know, in the end something should be given to the press.
Yes, choosing not to let people die as they get ill has its consequences, for good.
Choosing to protect citizens from being flooded with food from big chemical industries has its consequences, for good
Choosing the individual instead of the companies as the pivot of the administration has its consequences, for good.
Choosing to live in a continent which is the emblem of the collaboration instead of the “enter my property and you’ll be dead” has far greater consequences.
Comparing salary between those two areas is just misleading, as the bang of the buck of living and working in Europe is way better than the U.S.
Average European lifestyle and well being is way better than average American one.
Change my mind.

They genuinely didn’t have any tool to destroy all living things or exhaust natural resources.
So they were supposed to be f***g warmongers and consume any resource earth gave them.
Allow people to behave like they did in ancient times and you won’t even be able to see the day a Starship with humans reaches TMI.
@netanyahu “Hamas-supporting flotilla” as in:
- bringing military support to Hamas?
- bringing aid to Hamas armed forces?
Asking to understand which was the threat of the flotilla to Israeli citizens.
They’re just deploying long tested strategies from the occupation:
- collective punishment
- systematic dispossession
- non-proportional reaction (revenge, as opposed to justice)
After this stage, they’ll build military outposts, then will move the outposts to newly cleansed lands and convert outposts to settlements.
Italy’s food safety has been saved and its culinary tradition preserved at a scale mostly thanks to rigid regulations in food safety and food processing.
EU did put the citizen as the main actor, the citizen is pivotal.
US puts companies, revenues and growth as the main actor…consumers will follow and adapt.
