A great day celebrating Jenny Lu, a senior at Longmeadow High School and this year’s winner of the Congressional Art Competition.
As the winner from MA-01, her painting will hang in the U.S. Capitol for the next year, viewed by millions of visitors from across the country.
Congratulations to Jenny, her family, and her teachers on this well-deserved honor. I look forward to welcoming her to Washington next month.
Big shoutout to senior Lancers Brody Harrington, James Kaylor, Owen Murphy, and Brady Stocks for their selection to the National Football Foundation’s Western Massachusetts All-Academic team! Scholar-athletes rule! Go Lancers!
Current Colby Mule and former Longmeadow Lancer Liam Welch (‘24) muscles up 535 pounds. Don’t be an ass. Be an ass-kicking Mule! Do the Work!! @Colby_Football
Huge congratulations to Brody Harrington (‘26), two-time All-Western Massachusetts First Team quarterback and candidate for the Norman S. Dagenais Award, on his commitment to Hamilton College! #LancerProud
Great home win by the Lancers last night, 40-35 over Nashoba. Down 28-7, this gritty squad outscored the Wolves 33-7 down the stretch! Terrific team win and key individual plays by Brody Harrington (26), James Kaylor (‘26), Jack Sullivan (‘27), and Ethan Donaldson (‘28)!
Congratulations to Liam Welch (‘24) and the Colby Mules, who defeated Trinity College 13-6 last Saturday for the first time since 1995. With 4:57 left in the game, Colby scored with a one yard run behind Nos. 75 and 64 to extend their lead. Hey baby, the Mules got some Dudes!!
Lancers Ballin’ in College . . . Liam Welch ‘24), OL, Colby College. Second Team All-Western Massachusetts as a junior in 2022. Broke his leg four games into his senior season, but returned for Lancers’ 28-7 Thanksgiving win over East Longmeadow.
Masslive published its list of best QBs in the state, but omitted the Lancers’ returning two time D-IV All-WM first teamer. Saay whaaat? The cardiac kid who led two 4th quarter comebacks last year. Saay whaaat? The master of the foot drag deke. Saay whaaat? Lancer Nation is mad!
Incoming frosh Jack Egan (‘29) pounding the pigskin and honing his craft at Cahill Kicking’s camp in the woods! Looking forward to having Jack kick for the Black and White this season! @brendancahill
