It hardly matters that human art often produces tangible things while AI produces only digital things.
That is merely a technical problem. AI can easily be set up e.g. in a kitchen with control of robots that do the cooking.
Again, my question is: if an AI cooks meals using a robotic kitchen and you can't tell the difference between this and what a human chef produces, what difference is there?
Let me clear that this question applies only to physical products that are made by artifice. Because in such cases, the product is what matters, not the production.
There are other things in which the activity is the point, and here, a simulation is just a fake, e.g. AI pretending as if it is your friend, who cares deeply about you. It isn't and it doesn't.
But you can't call a process that actually makes you sandwich "a fake sandwich production." Because you have the sandwich. There it is. You can eat it.
@EveKeneinan Art is not just the final image. It is also includes the struggle of the artist.
I saw Van Gogh's Pieta at the Vatican Museum. A reproduction doesn't have the same meaning to it.
@EveKeneinan The distinction appears when you consider what story the product is a part of.
No Michelin-starred restaurant will ever surpass the waffles my mom makes because they represent her love.
If there's a moment where I was converted it was the first time I prayed this prayer.
It wasn't dramatic. All I could say was that while I prayed something was different.
Then that difference claimed me.
Everything has been different ever since.

@Vox_Day Is there anything in your MITTENS argument that isn't covered by the most recent edition of Probability Zero?
If I ever have to debate this I need all my bases covered.

@EveKeneinan@johncwright2001 Let's talk Godel.
He showed that a fixed formal system (ie computers) can't prove specific theorems. Humans can and so transcend that limit.
Ai is in fixed system. It can't transcend it.
Transcendence may not account for consciousness but no computer can will ever have it.
The Czech Republic approved a law that criminalizes the promotion of communist ideology.
Anyone who creates, supports, or disseminates communist movements may face 1 to 5 years in prison.
@EdLatimore Aggro.
If the corrupt can point the people's outrage at a larger monster, their evil goes unnoticed.
It doesn't have to be deliberate, just don't do anything about big injustices and the people who care will automatically fire at the largest problem.
