BREAKING: Kristi Noem DEFIANTLY ADMITS deporting ICE detainees — ignoring the orders of a federal judge — and now she faces contempt of court charges.

In a jaw-dropping display of authoritarian swagger, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem went on national television Sunday and proudly admitted she ordered deportation flights in direct violation of a federal judge’s order. That’s right — the woman in charge of “homeland security” openly bragged on Meet the Press that she helped Donald Trump bulldoze the rule of law to carry out his mass-deportation agenda.

Noem confirmed that she greenlit the transfer of Venezuelan detainees to El Salvador’s notorious megaprison despite a judge halting the flights. The Justice Department’s own filings say she personally directed their removal — even as the courts were reviewing whether the Trump administration should be held in contempt for defying the order.

Her justification? “The decisions … are my decision,” she said, sounding less like a Cabinet secretary and more like a cartoon dictator. She then celebrated Trump’s “leadership” as if proudly ignoring the judiciary were some kind of patriotic duty.

The truth is devastating: Migrants illegally deported under Trump’s abuse of the Alien Enemies Act — a Civil War–era law he’s weaponizing to run the largest deportation operation in U.S. history — were shipped to a Salvadoran prison and later dumped in Venezuela as part of a prisoner swap. These were people a federal judge ordered returned. Noem and Trump simply refused.

Now, the judge is moving forward with contempt proceedings, and the ACLU’s challenge to Trump’s outrageous power grab is still active. But the message from this administration couldn’t be clearer: Court orders? Human rights? Rule of law? Trump and Noem think they can ignore it all.

This is what happens when an administration believes it can rule by decree — and proudly announces it on national TV.
