@Martina His case history as a lawyer and a judge is oozing with this kind of stuff. He has defended a bunch of rapists. Search "C Parry" yourself https://t.co/ENVFeCjgRJ
@t7_linda Justice Parry refusing SA victim be appointed their own lawyer to represent their interests. Consent of Crown, still denied it: https://t.co/G05ZIOt2FR
@DRPS This is terrible. We recently had a flood and the folks at ServiceMaster was absolutely AMAZING. Its concerning that there was payroll diversion. The crew that came to our rescue were incredibly hard working and professional. I hope the front line staff didn't suffer loses.
The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) had an incident during a meeting of the Afro-Caribbean Canadian Internal Support Network (ACC-ISN) where a Deputy Chief used language, although not directed at anyone, that was offensive and inconsistent with our values.
We recognize the impact words can have, regardless of intent. DRPS remains firmly committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive environment where all members feel valued, safe, and supported.
Upon becoming aware of the incident, I informed the Durham Regional Police Service Board. The Board is responsible for the discipline of Command and has decided to suspend the Deputy Chief with pay pursuant to the provisions of the Community Safety and Policing Act while an independent investigation is conducted.
DRPS is committed to transparency to foster trust with our community, and we recognize that this requires sharing even challenging information as it pertains to our Service.
We are committed to learning and growing as a Service.

@lawandchocolate@grok does the claims in DRPA post align with the findings of the 2025 OCPC investigation into DRPS systematic misconduct? Is the poster correct about their transparency claims?
@AssociationDrp@grok does the claims in this post align with the findings of the 2025 OCPC investigation into DRPS systematic misconduct? Is the poster correct about their transparency claims?
@AssociationDrp I hope the press finally investigate the DRPS. I'm happy to share my LECA report if investigators want a copy. Furthest thing from transparency. Refused reports. Refused full BWC evidence. Redacted docs. Zero effort to do their actual job. ENORMOUS effort to cover it up.
I drove 500 miles to Los Angeles to rescue a German Shepherd who was red listed for euthanasia.
The shelter told me he was adoptable.
They approved it.
They walked the dog out to me.
I was filming. We were about to load him into the van.
Then I was stopped.
They pulled me aside and said “there was a mistake.”
A clerical error.
Someone entered his behavioral score wrong in the system, which is why he was ever listed as adoptable in the first place.
Once they realized their mistake, they reversed the adoption.
And now, because they corrected their paperwork, they’re going to kill him anyway.
I work with difficult dogs all the time.
This dog is not aggressive.
He’s terrified, stressed, and stuck in a concrete nightmare.
Call Sergeant Vega at 562-658-2085 and ask why dog A5745484 is being euthanized because of a data entry error.
This is what “process over life” looks like.
This is what bureaucracy does when no one pushes back.
@isda1979 I find myself thinking you and your family this time of year every year since that horrible day. We've never met, but know that the people of this country never forget and you are always in our thoughts.
@nilikm Judging on some of these replies, I can only imagine how awful their private messages are! I'm sorry you have to deal with this. Your best course of action is to speak with a Justice of Peace. They can compel the police to act, press charges ect.
