Sindh is facing a severe water shortage, with shortages reaching 22% across the province, 42% at Guddu Barrage and 29% at Kotri Barrage. This is not only threatening our agricultural sector but also endangering water supplies for all over Sindh including Karachi, Pakistan’s economic hub.

IRSA’s continued disregard for Sindh’s legitimate concerns and the unjust reduction of Sindh’s share under the guise of “shortage equalization” is unacceptable and contrary to the spirit of the 1991 Water Apportionment Accord. No province can be given preference at the expense of another.

I urge the Federal Government to take immediate notice of this situation and ensure Sindh receives its rightful share of water in accordance with the law. The PPP and Sindh Government will continue to defend Sindh’s water rights at every constitutional, legal and democratic forum.

*وفاقی حکومت کا پٹرول کی قیمت میں 22 روپے کمی اور ڈیزل کی قیمت میں بھی 22 روپے کمی کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے*۔

عوام کو ریلیف دینا میری اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔ وزیراعظم

پچھلے ھفتے بھی عوام کو ریلیف دیا گیا اور پیٹرول اور ڈیزل کی قیمتوں میں کمی کی گئی تھی۔

وفاقی حکومت نے سخت ترین حالات میں بھی عوام کے لئے ریلیف کا سلسلہ جاری رکھا اور پبلک/گڈز ٹرانسپورٹ اور موٹر سائیکل اور رکشہ استعمال کرنے والوں کے لئے فیول پر سبسڈی دی ۔

جب دنیا میں تیل کا بد ترین بحران تھا، اس دوران عالمی منڈی میں تیل کی قیمتوں میں اضافے کے باوجود وزیراعظم کی جانب سے 130 روپے سے زائد کی سبسڈی دے کر تیل کی قیمتوں میں اضافے کو روکا گیا اور سبسڈی کی مد میں بھی عوام کو ریلیف مہیا کیا گیا۔
