At the @IndianExpress Adda, I spoke about how politics can be unforgiving. We competed fiercely with the previous DMK government in Tamil Nadu for investments - won some, lost some.

But I never heard an investor complain of being asked for money by the government. Credit where it's due: the DMK government ran a clean and professional investment process and that deserves appreciation.

We had nauseating, disgusting levels of corruption in Tamil Nadu under the DMK. This is known to the entire Universe, not some grand secret.

It reached such Himalayan heights, their own Finance Minister, someone not corrupt who was caught up with the corrupt crowd, was complaining about it (sadly for him his remarks became public and he was demoted to became the IT Minister).

This is not about ideology.
Even the Marxists of Kerala, then allied with the DMK, would say how deeply corrupt the DMK was.

I have always appreciated people like Shri Balagopal, the former Finance Minister of Kerala, for his devoted public service. I am sure he and I will not agree on political philosophy or ideology but I deeply respect him.

If the DMK truly wants to introspect, they must start with their corruption.

Instead, they spend their time attacking a messenger like me as a TVK stooge or a Brahmin or a Sanghi and so on.

May be they can study Kural 423: focus on the message, even if the message comes from a "Brahmin Sanghi TVK stooge" like me:

Yes. What she saying is true. Many big companies have left due to the over bribing in setting up a factory, from the MOU till the approval stage.

Now that the party fund and minister fund is completely taken out of the equation, many companies are finding it easy to get the approval if all documents and drawings are correct.

I hope this continues cos TN needs more development that too equitable development.

Went in with rockbottom expectations thinking it'd be another routine Bollywood drama. Maybe that's why I ended up liking it more than expected.

Shahid was effortlessly natural. Those subtle reactions and expressions 🔥. Kriti was good too and felt very natural in her role.

Rashmika... well, a bit of overacting here and there 😆, but that's pretty much her usual style.

The story is familiar, and I was honestly bored for a while before the interval. But the 2nd half had a different treatment and was engaging enough to keep me invested.

Nothing extraordinary, but a decent one time watch.
