A tip I learned from a colleague today. When interpreters are working via Zoom. If the event is being recorded & you're set to work via the SL interpreter channel, you will not be included in the recording. Make organisers aware, otherwise those who need it miss out.
@DoubleTree capitalising on needs of disabled people. Slept on pop up bed 2x room to support my daughter (wheelchair user) the hotel added £100 to the double room fee. I also had a pretty shit night sleep 😡. I have two invoices one £234 (double room) and another invoice £324 😡

The medical model has oppressed deaf people for centuries, language deprivation is real & comes from a oppressive educational system that fails 2 recognise benefits SL in language acquisition & child development
