@etaknipsa @Sweetburlingame I know my first pay was < £500 a month in 1984. My 1st rent was £500. . My parents could not help out. It was interesting times. First real mortgage in 1995 with my now hubby who bought early. Then we had the huge mortgage rates. It wasn't easy then either.
