@MISSNTEACHING Take your time. A bit of prep is nice to get organised, but you should not spend your summer worrying about this. You are not actually in contract until September 1st. It will be so full on, rest up a bit and have some fun.

@etaknipsa @Sweetburlingame I know my first pay was < Β£500 a month in 1984. My 1st rent was Β£500. . My parents could not help out. It was interesting times. First real mortgage in 1995 with my now hubby who bought early. Then we had the huge mortgage rates. It wasn't easy then either.
