How to reinvent Christmas jumpers as icons for Irish craft. Instead of being just another fast fashion product, Irish Christmas jumpers could highlight our long association with wool and knitting, writes @rmully@UCC@Researchirel https://t.co/RV0igDuETN
My PhD examined firm growth theory from the perspective of small food producers at farmers' markets. I contribute their voice and the artisan knowledge they harbour to system transformation in the food industry.
I successfully defended my PhD on Thursday—no corrections needed! What a journey. Thank you to my supervisors, Professor Joe Bogue and Dr. Lana Repar. Thank you to my examiners, Professor Pursey Heugens and Dr. Edward Lahiff. @CUBSucc@UCC#PhD#sustainablefood#postgrowth

Feels all too familiar to me when we closed our cafe in 2019 for the same reasons. We need a targeted local food policy to support small businesses and our indigenous food ecosystems. Or become beholden to bland corporate franchises. #localfood#Sustainability@simoncoveney
Unable to book my 12-year-old and myself onto the @giyireland vegetable growing course for her birthday. Disappointed @mickkellygrows, surely we are never too young to grow veg! Mixed-age learning is great for everyone #familyfun#enthusiasticyounggrower
@mickkellygrows@giyireland My daughter, 12, and I were hoping to do your grow your own veg course. Disappointed that you need to be over 16. Surely, a family that grows together - sticks together #familyGIY
@IdahoNua Another aspect is when I closed my small cafe I felt like a failure. Devastated to leave my employees go. I took it personally. I realise now it is just not possible to sell real, local good food in this current system. It is sad and also not good for our health.
