@Rotorblur Thanks @Rotorblur looking good!

Fantastic news! We are winners of the IT Industry Awards for our amazing GIS/AIS mapping tools- keeping our crews safe and saving lives

[HM Coastguard @HMCoastguard]

🚨 We dealt with a record high 340 incidents at the coast across the whole of the UK on Saturday 🌊

Enjoy your day-out but please remember to #BeBeachSafe and respect the water. Do not make choices which could put yourself and others at risk.

This swell forecast is very worrying for north coast of Devon & Cornwall. A normal morning surf will build to over 15 feet in a couple of hours. Combined with incoming spring tide & no lifeguards, this could be a recipe for disaster. Keep out of the water on Fri afternoon please.

[South Wales Fire and Rescue Service @SWFireandRescue]

Keep clear of water after #StormDennis:

•Don’t get too close to floodwater, it can be deeper and more powerful than it looks
•There may be hidden rubbish or debris = open drains, shopping trolleys, broken glass, branches

In an emergency 📞 999.

That makes us the younger brother by two, with four years until the @RNLI 200th birthday. Congratulations HMCG, here’s to many more years working in partnership @rnli @MCA_media

[Coastguard Matt @Matt_Leat]

Happy birthday to Her Majesty's Coastguard which was formed in this day in 1822.

I'm extremely proud to work for such a brilliant organisation that makes a huge impact each and every day.

[Lifeboat Operations Room Manager @RNLI_Ops]

We would always encourage use of established systems and would hope casualty reports are given using map/chart references whenever possible. However this is a BRILLIANT tool which can save lives- particularly in areas such as beaches where reference points are hard to find.

[Lifeboat Operations Room Manager @RNLI_Ops]

Merry Christmas all, thank you to all our fabulous volunteers and their amazing supportive families and communities

[RNLI @RNLI]

JUST LAUNCHED! Our very special Christmas film! And it’s dedicated to all our volunteers that our supporters help power to the rescue. They will answer the call all year round… but what happens when the pager beeps on the big day?

@CromerRNLI, @StMarysRNLI relief and @RNLIFishguard all almost home; monitoring our boats on passage. #wevegotyourback

[Alan - Flood Forecaster @ The Thames Barrier @AlanBarrierEA]

⚠️ Low pressure in the North Sea could add extra height on the spring tides towards the end of this week.

Coupled with the forecast rain, levels on the #Thames could be very high at high tide times.

We have, as ever, a full team available close the #ThamesBarrier if required.

[Environment AgencySW @EnvAgencySW]

There are 5 x flood warnings for high tides tonight and tomorrow morning on the south coast of Cornwall. See each warning for tide times and avoid driving/walking along the coast to avoid overtopping waves: https://t.co/QdPKdFg7SD

[RNLI @RNLI]

We’re excited – and a little shaken, not stirred – to reveal that Bond star Daniel Craig has very kindly donated a signed RNLI T-shirt to be auctioned to raise vital funds for our lifesaving work. Don’t miss out! Place your bids here: https://t.co/pvcOAsud2f

Good morning all; we have over 99% of our lifeboat fleet operational and ready for service today. #SavingLivesAtSea #respectthewater #bewateraware

[Lifeboat Operations Room Manager @RNLI_Ops]

Glad you had a quiet one on the river @Matt_Leat, overall as a service we responded with 8 launches yesterday and none yet today #respectthewater #bewateraware

[Coastguard Matt @Matt_Leat]

A routine short overnight @TowerRNLI with no calls.

[Samaritans @samaritans]

Try and resist the pressure to routinely work late, even if your colleagues are. It can help to think of someone you think has healthy boundaries and try to emulate them. Think about how they would respond to certain situations. #WednesdayWisdom

Thanks to all staff who work in control rooms this #InternationalControlRoomWeek from @MCA_media @metpoliceuk @CityPolice @Ldn_Ambulance @LondonFire & all control rooms across the UK. You are key in the lifesaving chain, helping us save life & help those in need. #headsetheros
