Child-care deal for Ontario ‘happy news’ for families, but will there be enough spots?
Advocates, analysts applaud the deal but are skeptical that spaces can meet demand, and that promised wage increases can attract enough workers. https://t.co/Usrfw90JLn
@ETFOeducators Mask mandates have harmed so many kids with disabilities and deaf/blind kids who are not able to communicate with masks on everyone’s faces! Weigh the pros and cons!
@caro_rila@Nature_Girl1111@ETFOeducators Totally agreed! Show the hard evidence and numbers to back up continued masking in schools! Why are we different than so many other jurisdictions who are also protecting their kids by removing mask mandates or not even having them in place to begin with!
@TorontoTeacherX Let’s all walk off our jobs! We’re all going to be in public settings under the same rules…being unionized is a privilege and many teachers are abusing that privilege, no student interests here ever, just employee rights!
BREAKING: A new variant called Freedom-22 has arrived in Canada. A massive outbreak in Ottawa has been confirmed. Parliament has gone into lockdown, & although the Prime Minister is isolating to be safe, it appears he is naturally immune to it. Updates at https://t.co/ncTEWCCvEY
Convoy critics point to high vaccination rates as evidence the truckers and their supporters are a fringe minority. The fact that 90% of Canadians have been vaccinated and we're still in lockdown with myriad restrictions is why people – including the vaccinated – are protesting.
@LucianaFrac @VaxHuntersCan Same situation here, the pharmacy where my parents got the first dose March 17 have no vaccines and we are unable to book anywhere else
@BeHappyandCivil@VaxHuntersCan Same situation here! 2 pharmacies both have no vaccines and they won’t be getting anything until at earliest Tuesday due to long weekend…

What we learned in 2020? That oil is worthless in a society without consumption. That healthcare has to be public because heath is public. That 50% of jobs can be done from home while the other 50% deserve more than they’re being paid. That we live in a society, not an economy.
@ROMtoronto just bought membership but have not received a # - want to visit tomorrow but no one is answering phones! Are u open? Can I use the membership I just bought?
@snitabalsara A great cause to #donate to, as over 30% of kids in rexdale live in poverty, don’t have enough food to eat and are facing barriers with distance learning during #COVID19
Rexdale Women’s Centre is #fundraising to ensure vulnerable members of our #community, impacted by #COVID19, do not go without basic necessities.
Your support is appreciated. 🙏

@fordnation These are activities that only middle to upper class can afford, unfortunate that the rest of us can’t enjoy the weekend that way without fear of being ticketed in parks
"But the choice between staying home indefinitely and returning to business as usual now is a false one. Risk is not binary. And an all-or-nothing approach to disease prevention can have unintended consequences."
Sound approach re: #COVID19 risk.
