@Abby06125813533 @GrantPaulsen LOL. ESPN is the one that pays his salary.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@darrenrovell @froghornleg It doesn’t look like he did?

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@DirkBelig @ChristianHeiens Why on earth would you exclude CA and NY?

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@jsidman @washingtonian No Rasika and not a single Jose Andres restaurant. Seems difficult to have a list representative of DC without any of those

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@FightinHydrant Yes

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@johnreardon68 @EasterbrookG @SalSports Unless the Bills actually committed fewer penalties..

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@jakemalasek This is a good analysis. TLDR, there is a very small advantage in win probability going for two. Like 1-2 percent. This assumes a 50-50 chance of making the two point try. I think it’s lower now, but that works both ways. Overall, I think it’s a tossup.

@guy_withdumbhat @geoffvster @jimsciutto Maybe he actually meant Austria, for some unknown reason. But doubt that’s the case either.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@PfHamburguesa @Shenanigangsta @DanWetzel Sure. If Alabama had scheduled good teams (like Duke did), instead of Eastern Illinois and Louisiana Monroe, the situation would have been completely the same.
The problem isn’t specific to the ACC’s system even if you don’t like the result.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@PfHamburguesa @DanWetzel Except none of the other major conferences do that either. Maybe they all change it next year. But don’t make it seem the ACC was an outlier.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@CalTh1726 @jrwallace83 @Buster_ESPN Do we have a list of every non-banned drug or medication that every major leaguer took? It was legal. Just because they didn’t tell anyone didn’t mean they hid it.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@funwithnumberz @BattleToad2785 @mike_petriello This is serious? This can’t be serious…

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@funwithnumberz @mike_petriello What’s the standard deviation of OPS+? Is 123 really “much better” than 117?
Also, if he’s much better offensively, how poor was Kent defensively that Whitaker accumulated that much more WAR than him

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@red_helms @PeteThamel @ReceDavis Not a fan of Alabama (at all), but BYU lost to Texas Tech twice. Bama had already beaten Georgia once. Penalizing them for losing a team they already beat seems a bit harsh.
Conference Championship games are stupid.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@OHHydraulicTech @RadioFreeTom Just because this guy values having someone clean his house weekly, doesn’t mean other things aren’t expensive.
Who knows what this guy forgoes in his life because he thinks a house cleaner is something that improves his life.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@birth_of_state @johanlenox @mattyglesias The word you’re looking for is “value”, not quality…

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@chefilicios @BarredinDC @eat_dc Not sure why you would just give a blanket, “don’t go out in DC, go to Arlington” recommendation based on this.

[Jesse Roach @roachjl]

@mark_hokie @chucktodd You certainly can use those things and they might be better. But they need to be agreed to before the season.
