Pleased that animal policeman is finally locked up and we can walk the streets safely again. Scary enough for us anyway without the people we pay to protect us being our rapists
@bbclaurak Personally I wish the Archbishop had not offered that apology. We in the UK are seeing our history rewritten because the world is suddenly upset by what is now deemed to be unacceptable.
The German nation has now to wear the cloak of their own guilt.
@yogital@bbclaurak Yes, probably the most shocking thing to appear in the news for a very long time. I think this equals or even exceeds the horror of 9/11.
@TheTomRodger@DSFireUpdates Heroism? You have no idea. I was privileged to serve in the very early 60s with colleagues who fought to protect our cities from German bombs. They were the heros, and those men had forgotten more about firefighting than you and I will ever know.
@DSFireUpdates When I retired we were all firemen. โFirefighterโ was then looked upon as a rather clouying Americanism.
And only recently have my fire service colleagues began to refer themselves as heros.
@EssexPR Time to have all this stuff in an identity card that we would all be required to carry.
We need to tackle miscreants wherever they are and whenever we find them.
