An amazing action shot of our crew clearing Blewett Pass this morning whilst a couple of drivers are reminded about traction tire requirements.
We appreciate our WSP partners working with us to keep roads safe. Please do your part and follow the law. @wspd6pio
Seeing plenty of snow on the passes and our crews are working hard to keep up. Help them out by slowing down, following traction requirements, giving them plenty of room and being prepared for possible delays. #wawx
Monday begins two weeks of chipseal work on US 97 Blewett Pass. Work is Mon-Thurs from 4 am to 4 pm, and will require flagger controlled traffic with pilot car and reduced speed through the work zone. Expect significant delays during work hours.

An amazing glimpse of our resident big horn sheep on US 97A near Knapps Tunnel earlier this week but not a great example of following the rules of the road!
Beep beep, sheeps, move over!
Meanwhile, up on US 2 #StevensPass. ...Our crews have been busy with slides & avalanche control. Here's a sped-up look at clearing work after avalanche control earlier this week. Watch it with the Benny Hill theme song in your head, it adds to the enjoyment.
A reminder that US 2 #StevensPass is CLOSED for avalanche control. Usually takes anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on how much debris comes down. Follow @WSDOT_East and @wsdot_passes for updates.
Lot is full up @StevensPass. We also have chains required so plan ahead for your trip today. Check in before you head out, be prepared, and drive for conditions.
Here's a look at our crews working to get US 97 Blewett Pass reopened - which it just did. Can't thank them enough for their hard work keeping highways safe & treated. Please help them out by giving them room & slowing down. #SafeTravels#ThanksgivingTravel
Expect the unexpected: Mother Nature had a chuckle when our Tonasket maintenance crew had to plow up in Wauconda today where a couple of inches of wintery mix fell from the "summer" sky. Road is now bare and wet. Thanks to our maintenance crew for getting it cleaned up quick!
#SR28EastWenatchee Drivers can expect flaggers, a closed lane and some delays next Monday through Thursday between 7 A and 3 P, about halfway between East Wenatchee and Rock Island at South Quincy Avenue where crews are adding left turn pockets on SR 28.
