#SpatialEcologist with a focus on tracking data. #Birds on land and sea get me out of bed. Striving to keep it that way. I write #scicomm for @RTW_Aus.
Our new paper recommends where conservation efforts such as #bycatch education campaigns and new protected areas should be prioritised to protect #frigatebirds during their non-breeding period.

@daniteixeira___ NZ Birds Online has digitised all of the species texts for species that occur in NZ. There’s a link to download the HANZAB pdf for Barn Owl towards the bottom of this webpage https://t.co/nBFxPAKqXI
As a Victorian who has recently returned to the state, I'd love to see the Victorian faunal emblem get the volunteer support it needs. #NationalVolunteerWeek
What does it mean to be a Victorian?
This #NationalVolunteerWeek, we're helping Friends of the Helmeted Honeyeater celebrate & support the work of their volunteers to save Victoria's precious bird emblem.

OK everyone, we desperately need your sightings!
PLEASE TELL US IF YOU FIND ANY APS, especially in NSW.
Our time is running out before they vanish for winter. Any wetlands with mudflats and water plant cover are worth checking. @BirdlifeOz

One of my favourite birds! Such a beautiful voice and such a charming character. It's lovely to have their company wherever we @roamingmoth & I go across Australia. We spotted this one on Alherrkentye (Trephina Gorge), just after hanging out with an equally cute Dusky Grasswren!

@InvasionEcology I saw very nice birds on my first Coorong trip a couple of years ago, too. Sanderling, Southern Emu-wren, Beautiful Firetail to name a few.
First time out collecting data for my new @BushHeritageAus job and I was lucky enough to see some great #birds. I think I am going to like my new field sites a lot. #WildOz
I’m delighted to announce an awesome new project, launching next week. A great team and I are aiming to crowdfund enough to track the endangered Australian Painted-snipe for the first time. Please consider supporting us and spreading the word. @TrackingAPSnipe 📸 @leo_qbn
@Roasty247 @wing_threads It certainly was. I loved it. It’s amazing flying and having the wind racing by. Really makes you feel connected to the landscape beneath rather than just a spectator.
I was very lucky to be flown over the Murray Mouth in a #microlight by @wing_threads on her #FlightAroundOz recently. It was stunning to see where I have been doing research for the last two years from a different perspective.
