You need to change your perception of things. Just because YOU think it’s a stranger on the internet does not mean a child/teen thinks it’s a stranger on the internet. After lengthy conversations, emotional support, compliments, presents, money, that is a trusted individual.
Again, most child sexual abuse is committed by someone the child (and family members) TRUSTS. They trust coaches, teachers, church leaders, other parents, police, anyone! Trusted abusers are a massive pool of people including who gain trust 🚨 through the internet 🚨

If you want the real ass answer, people don't "engage in fandom spaces" because they like a wide variety of things a completely normal amount, and they also don't have lives and identities so small and threadbare that TV shows or popstars are a load-bearing pillar.
