@ClassicII_MrMac seems to me could only be a deliberate decision meant to get more users to leave their Macs powered on(in sleep mode) all the time and inconvenience those who like a clean fresh boot each time that start up. i am sure the find my network, push notifications were part of this.
@MaxTechStudios only carrier in the world using n70 is DISH and they own 100 % of the band, they currently have no tablet/data only plans. wonder if this is a hint of things to come.
@stetsondoggett thats banned in several states and would be a very anti-consumer move. insurance should never be bundled with anything. the 'protection' bundles where insurance and anti-malware or ID theft is bundle is already too far and some states have already banned.
@bestmvno i can confirm, that when I went through the process using an IMEI2 from an iPhone and number on T-Mobile network was only charged $ 15.00 for 1st month
eSIM's may have some benefits but the vast majority of people I have spoken don't see it that way. they see it as carriers taking away control form consumers but eliminating physical SIM card which they see as the easy way to switch devices or carriers.
@stetsondoggett i was trying to use device I had first tried to activate with SIM i bought at target and was not working, switched to different phone and worked immediately. if you are being asked to purchase a plan its because of the IMEI being provided during activation history in system.
@stetsondoggett it is critical the IMEIs being activated once the SIMs come in the mail has never before been on any tracfone brand and also had not been attempted to be activated or the SIM will not activate with the included plan. activate SIM in a different phone never on tracfone will work
@peter_adderton@stetsondoggett for most people its the handset promotion, nearly always the reason people postpaid over prepaid. for a much smaller number of people its international roaming. those are pretty much only reasons, some don't know prepaid exists.
@SneedTech would be interesting to see the same test with iOS, anything Google always seems slow on T-Mobile, iPhone app updates are typically very fast though.
@SneedTech there is either major congestion on the route between T-Mobile's core and Google server farm or some sort of traffic shaping limiting network throughput along that route.
@SneedTech any data coming from Google is slow on T-Mobile network. its very apparent setting up a new phone installing apps, etc. on T-Mobile compared to the other networks.
@totalwireless@Verizon it appears you have some serious issues with your $ 15 for five years promo offering for T-Mo, MInt and Metro switchers. ordering the plan and SIMs is very confusing, once the SIM arrive some activate with the already paid plan and some don't
