If Gannon had shown this kind of momentum with a back up qb, I’d have no problem with him coming back. Instead it’s going to be at best below average ball. Looking forward to a 5-12 season.
Beacham has played 14 years. Of those 14 years:
3 winning seasons (2 with Steelers and 1 with cardinals)
3 .500 seasons (again 2 with Steelers and 1 Cards)
The other 8 years have been losing records.
"Results don't always lend itself to what culture really looks like."
Kelvin Beachum on why Jonathan Gannon should return as Arizona Cardinals head coach.
@Kyle_Odegard Not one player has become better under this staff.
Invested so much into the defensive line and have mother to really show for it.
Also sabotaged your own QB’s development and value with their handling of the offense.
@JohnnyVenerable@JFowlerESPN Blaming a hand picked QB is the biggest cop out. This is gig he signed up for.
They draft a QB this year, it’s going to be a Daboll or Eberflus situation. Then the next staff can say the never got to hand pick a QB.
@Kyle_Odegard It’s either the players are bad and it’s Monti’s fault or the players aren’t developing and it’s Gannon’s fault. I think it’s the latter and Monti will get a second head coach chance.
@WBJMItch Dude has prove he cannot develop talent. In year 3 which player has gotten better than their first year?
Beyond McBride, there is none. And he’s a defensive coach incapable of developing on that side of the ball.
@Kyle_Odegard I hate this excuse. If you are a good team then you’ll have to eventually play other good teams.
Seattle has a newer coach and is in the same tough division… yet they’re doing fine.
@Kyle_Odegard I think Monti should stay. His philosophy behind building the d line I like. I’d like to see Monti get an offensive HC.
The issue is development and health. I think the strength coach is also to blame. It’s odd that calf injuries occurred to both top DL picks.
@Kyle_Odegard What’s worse is we’re going to repeat what bad franchises do. Draft a QB and fire the coach in the same year. But then again, this a poorly managed franchise.
