Completely agree with @Mullers1993, that we need to be supporting Trans People.

One of my friends is undergoing HRT, and I am proud to call them my friend. It is their individual choice, and we should be supportive of individuals choices.

Kudos to @LGBTCons for be supportive.

I keep getting asked "why don't you drop the T from the @LGBTCons". Here is why I won't do that.

People seem to think dropping the T would magically solve every disagreement in the LGBT community.

It will not.

The difficult questions around sport, healthcare, schools and single-sex spaces would still exist. The only difference is we’d be shouting at each other from different sides of a bigger divide.

We need less tribalism and more grown-up and pragmatic conversations. Protect women’s rights. Respect trans people. Find workable solutions.

Politics should be about solving problems. That is what I intend to do. And that is how I intend to lead the @LGBTCons we will solve these problems.

I’m not going to amplify Reform’s ad by sharing it, but the wilful misrepresentation of Kemi Badenoch - selectively quoting what she said about ‘white lives matter’ - is disgraceful and dangerous.

It needs to be challenged, including by those of us who are not Conservatives.

There are examples of this in Australia with Bob Hawke in 1983 (v Bill Hayden) and @PierrePoilievre after losing his seat in Canada recently.
