@WalkableDFW I still don't understand why Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge had to be a $250 million dollar solution. Some rich lady wanted a "pretty bridge for the skyline photos" and argued it would increase Dallas' attractiveness. And everyone just deferred to her as an expert. WHAT?!

@WalkableDFW someone made an argument last night that the reason Dallas needs I-345 is because Houston needs to send chips to Sherman. Or something. Regardless, it had no bearing on quality of life in Dallas. Double-regardless, it's a 9 minute difference in shipping time

Can we identify these "stakeholders"? Why can a city like Minneapolis create so much progress, where we keep failing?

Look at Ross Ave! You can't build a community or development there. This isn't a compromise—it's a loss.

@ChadWestDallas @CoalitionNewDAL @NeighborsDTX @cleanerair 100% agree—the TXDOT "hybrid" solution tears a canyon between East Dallas and downtown, builds a highway in it, and stacks it with stroads. This terrible "compromise" betrays the social equity and quality of life we want to improve. Is TXDOT taking crazy pills?
