@jfh Glad to hear you are concerned but seeing this five days after a storm on one of the busiest corridors in the city, leading into some of the best bike infrastructure, makes me think there might be even more work to do.

I ride differently than I advocate. I am experienced enough to assess an obstacle ahead and assert myself in front of a 30,000 pound Metro bus doing 30 mph. Whoop De Doo. You know what that means to a casual cyclist? Absolutely zero.
Just a note to the millions of people who might not understand the impacts of blocking a bike lane: It makes cyclists fear for their lives. It creates a high risk situation in which real riders, people who are not so different than you, have been killed. Please respect our safety
I’ve ridden this rotary a hundred times and sadly this is not surprising. But the takeaway here is not cycling is dangerous. The takeaway is drivers are a danger to innocent people and our roads need to be designed better.
