1 in 335 people have a stoma. I bet you know one. I bet this matters to them
So here is to building a crap campaign and to getting the first one of these beauties installed in the UK.
#CrapCampaign
I want to start a crap campaign.
Should be easy having had a few too many years in marketing roles. And I guess a few of my closest contacts will say no change there then.
So here goes.
It is about something close to my heart. Literally it is about my stoma. Also a bit too close to my nose.
I have a stoma. I was given a stoma just over a year ago after a failed operation resulted in emergency surgery and Stanley the stoma was born
- it's good but could be better
I need to recruit enough voices to make this matter. Go on add your support by commenting and sharing - even if it means sharing toilet stories....
If you know anyone who wants to listen to me talk about my stoma or
I want to find a place willing enough to do it with me - Have one conversation and am targeting more about toilets that could accommodate. Would you have one in your business?
I want to elevate Stoma Friendly toilets beyond a mirror, a shelf and a coat hook
That's my challenge. to get the first one of these installed in the UK.
I want to understand the regulation challenges in getting them installed - Having a chat with Toto the manufacturer soon.
And here is the opportunity. We can do this better.
In Japan they have these wonderful Stoma sink/toilets. Full flush, shower head and access to paper and a space to put your paraphernalia. We dont have them in the UK. YET.
Now imagine that for a moment having to kneel in a public toilet to do your business. Or choosing to bomb from a height and clean up after yourself. Ostomates are the greatest toilet cleaners. We see it from a different perspective - literally.
But one of the things about a stoma is that you have to change the way you go to the toilet. I now poo in a bag and need to empty it into a toilet. Yeh! no sitting on public toilets again! Boo I get to kneel instead!
Congratulations to our Year 9 Netball team who won the Bury Netball Rally tonight. The girls won all their group matches and beat St Gabriel’s in the semifinals and Bury Grammar in the final. An amazing group of young ladies who make us very proud. #MightyMonicas@stmonicas
@StMonicasPE@stmonicas Even more impressive as they missed the first match and awarded a loss. Still qualified top of pool before winning semi and final. Woohoo.
@BBCBreakfast please ask why they are offering 2.9% when they sanction ticket price rise of 5.9% based on wage growth measures. Surely an imbalance in approach.
@s100py My Daughter @MaddyGrantMYP was outside The Heys polling station discussing votes for the 16 to 18 age group. Nice to see young people with a passion for change.
(Even if she is my daughter 😄😄😄)
