@SW_Help I think most passengers appreciate that there are sometimes issues that affect trains that are completely out of SWR’s control. But not your complete inability to recover the service and then not communicate accurately the info to passengers!
@SW_Help Then after leaving an hour late, we’re told that this train will be running ‘fast’ from Guildford to Fratton!!! I mean, what is the point of running a ‘service’ if you don’t actually stop the train at the stations (Haslemere for me) that the majority of passengers want?!
@SW_Help But you’d tweeted that the platforms had reopened, the 0940 from Walton miraculously departed on time, so I would imagine that means neither the train or crew on that service were out of place!! Oh, and the 1542 Waterloo to Walton has just broken down outside Waterloo! What a day
@SW_Help You are so incompetent! Stuck at Surbiton & all you’re doing is moving empty trains around! 2 terminated here that were supposed to go to Waterloo, & all that has done is blocked other trains from getting through! And 2 other empty trains gone through on the down line!
@SW_Help But this was after you’d tweeted that all the platforms had re-opened! And all that terminating services at Surbiton did was stop other trains from getting through, as both platforms had terminated trains on them for 10 minutes!
@unogemini@SW_Help Absolutely agree Jasper! And they’ve made the sure the slow train I’ve had to take is arriving at Waterloo on time, making me only 14 minutes late, this avoiding Delay Repay claims. Not that the £1.50 is worth it!
@SW_Help Why are you fast running the 0940 from Walton on Thames and missing out Walton? It’s only running 2 minutes late at Woking!! Another Delay Repay incoming to get a measly £1.50 back.
@SW_Help In that case, I’m surprised you don’t cancel every rush hour service then, as only a 1 minute delay, as in this case, would be seen as miraculously on time by the vast majority of your long suffering customers.
@SW_Help Further delays? By 1 train being 2 minutes late? And they’ve now announced ‘due to congestion’. This is what infuriates me and many other passengers 😡 And sure enough, whilst I’ve been typing this the train has sailed through Walton a whole minute late 😬
@SW_Help 2/2 I thought that commuting could never be as bad as that again, but you’re definitely getting close. And for no obvious reason, just general incompetence. Delays Every Single Day.

@SW_Help They’ll be no use today, as all the trains are delayed or cancelled again! I had the misfortune to commute to London on Midland Mainline post Hatfield in 2000, when a 50 min journey was taking up to 3 hours for months. 1/2
@SW_Help WHEN? WHICH ROUTES??? Not even your staff know anything!! To quote the man in the ticket office at Walton just now, ‘They don’t tell the staff what’s going on’
