2nd place at BOBC8
Feel like I’m solidly top 3 in the world
Even 20 years into playing melee
still got a lot more events this year and still think I have what it takes to be the best
call it delusion call it passion
it’s just all I know
see you guys back on stream
Rest in peace, Professor ❤️ Thank you, Tom Kane, for lending your voice to the father of three perfect little girls and bringing The Force to millions of fans. You'll live on in our childhood memories forever.
Happy 36th birthday Etika! Today you would have been turning 36. And we the Joycon Boyz will always be here to wish you a damn good one. It has been almost 7 years since you've been gone and everyday we all still cherish you so much. We hope you have been resting well. 🖤🦋
Happy Birthday to Etika who would have been 36 today
A YouTuber, streamer, model and a man of many iconic reactions to Nintendo Directs and Super Smash Bros, the world lost him far too soon with his untimely passing in 2019
After this set, RapMonster went on to get 2nd place at a major. I just need to take a moment to stress how unfathomably incredible that is.
RapM just became the highest placing Luigi player of all time, and he's a young student who was literally doing homework at the venue while the event was happening. This record was set by Plup nearly a full decade ago (5th) and was just shattered in a game that's over 24 years old. He is younger than the game itself by a handful of years.
Within the past few weeks, he has already done the impossible multiple times. He was able to take a set off of the current best Falcon player in the world (Wizzrobe), a matchup many thought was an auto-loss for him, and not only did he just make top 8 at a major for the first time, he was only 1 spot away from winning the whole thing.
In a game where many people thought the future of this game would be nothing but perfectly played Fox dittos where sets are determined by port priority, it is instead being taken over by a bunch of kids playing characters like Donkey Kong, Pikachu, and Luigi. This Luigi player in particular looks like he has what it takes to go all the way. You never know what the future will hold.

I legitimately deserve a Nobel prize for the amount of times I’ve been able to win Fox Puff
unless you main the character you will truly never understand how fucked that match up is
anyway losers top 32
I’ll have to do my best Cody Schwab impersonation to win at this point
