Just arrived in Copenhagen to this sight: Uganda on the Danish highway💪🇺🇬
No chance I will forget Uganda during my break😂
Well done @DkUganda@TourismBoardUg
This video caught my attention a lot ! In Kozhikode, Kerala, an elderly woman confronted a scooty rider using the footpath. She blocked his way, refusing to let him pass.Rider tried to push ahead. She took out her phone, photographed the number plate.Eventually, she forced him to return to the road.
Now, this is the social responsibility each one of us has to demonstrate and show if the attitude to #traffic rules has to change a little atleast. Most of us speak a lot on social media etc but when it comes to such social action, we tend to just ignore and go away!
Can we do a little more, like this brave old lady , and not leave the entire thing to the #police . Your pressure itself will force the others to fall in line.Let’s follow traffic rules and make others follow it 🙏🏻
ACP Norman Musinga, the Deputy Director of Traffic and Road Safety, is guiding his troops from the air to deal with traffic congestion on Kampala-Masaka Road.

@Comrade_Otoa Tony take Heart! Mzee ran his race and played his role in society setting a high bar for us all. May the good Lord strengthen the family during this difficult time! He will be missed by many! May his soul rest in eternal peace.
He was today remanded for dumping garbage in a water gutter. He tried to take advantage of the heavy rain, but today, the law has caught up with him under the sun.
A big thanks to the person who filmed him.
. @Patrickonyango1 "On March 19, 2025, Kira Division Police launched an intelligence-led operation in Nsawo zone, targeting the rising number of paver hitmen in the area
The operation was a collaborative effort between Kira Division's security forces and Nsawo zone's security committee. As a result, 15 suspects were arrested, including three known serial criminals: Kabogo Farook, Matovu Lawrence, and Kaya Muhammed, also known as Medi. These individuals have been linked to multiple crimes in the same area.
The suspects were taken into custody at Kira Division Police, where they will face court proceedings. The three serial criminals are currently awaiting interrogation, and updates on the case will be provided
#UnpopularOpinion #444. I have been self-driving on the Northern bypass since 2022. I have seen many people lose their phones to freaky & confident thieves during the long jams especially towards the EHW/Busega Y junction. These are my 20-point observations & advice.
1. There’s no visible police security on the road. Where you find a patrol car, it’s normally parked at the Kisaasi roundabout.
2. Thieves begin to form up at 6pm.
3. The thieves are so organized& work hand in hand with mulondo & nut sellers.
4. The role of the mulundo sellers is to “nose” through the car & “sniff” the visible valuables especially phones, how many you are & whether you may be security people.
5. The real snatchers wear black or dark shirts.
6. Sometimes, you find them seated on the rails as if they are waiting to cross
7. Once they “sniff” a deal, the mulondo sellers alert the thief who will approach you from behind & as if he’s just passing, snatch the phone & smartly cross the opposite road for oncoming vehicles from Entebbe or Hoima round about.
8. The reason is to distract you from following him fearing to be hit by high speeding vehicles joining the bypass from the EHW.
9. They also do that for you to think that their intention is to disappear in the swampy area.
10. Please note, that where they operate from, has a tunnel underneath the bypass that goes to the very side where you were robbed from.
11. If you note, the outside of the rails where the jam is locked are boda boda motorcycles gently parked as if they are waiting for passengers from vehicles. Ask yourself why cycles should be there when no one is expected to disembark from the vehicles. They are parked there to quickly evacuate the thief who is emerging from the opposite side in the tunnel. He’s quickly evacuated.
12. Once the phone is taken, your instinct is to run after the thief. If you do so & don’t lock the car, the mulundo sellers well finish off everything left in the car; laptop, jackets, etc
13. If you remain seated, they will all disappear from that scene as if they are bees smoked from the beehive.
14. Much as the place is parked with motor vehicles, the occupants will just watch the scenery.
15. Please, keep the glasses of your car window up & engage the door locks at all times.
16. Hide your phone in your coat pocket or just keep it close to your body as possible.
16. Ensure that no phone light is visible from outside. It’s the one that attracts attention.
17. Don’t be excited from buying those products. I am aware that not everyone selling is a thief but how do you tell who is & who’s not? Why don’t good people inform security of who’s bad?
18. Police must (R) must, deploy near that Y junction every single evening including weekends.
19. We should have operational CCTV at that very junction & review it regularly.
20. I really think that apart from phone snatching, that junction may be a potential terrible terror horror scene.
Let’s all rise up against these thieves. They are ridding over our weak security but also lack of information & mobilization.
When stopped by traffic officers, it's crucial to understand your rights & procedures the officers must follow.
1. The officer must clearly explain the offense you've committed.
2. They must advise you of your option to contest the charge in court.
3. This explanation should occur while you're still in your vehicle.
4. The ticket is issued on the spot; ensure you receive your copy.
5. The officer is not expected to issue a ticked after you have left the scene.
In case the officer issues you a ticked out of malice, discreetly record the interaction before the ticket is issued. Contact 0773815326 with your evidence to report the officer's misconduct.
Be reminded that you have the right to respectful treatment and due process within the bounds of the law. @PoliceUg
