Dear @AlaskaAir, I fly PAE to LAX often w/ awesome service but today is 👎. Very old plane and first class is 💩. No tech, sub par seats, and catering is literally loading carts from the front and rolling them down the aisle while passengers duck and dodge . And NOW we’re late🤨
We're open for subs @pocketsmag and looking for un-seamly literature, stories that won't fit into a neat little package. <3 Welcome to all writers and all genres.
@claseur And how many sisters have forgotten (or never knew) that women couldn’t even hold a bank account or credit card in their own name until the 1970s? Flawed or not, Roe & Casey & the ERA are the fragile scaffolding holding up all women’s rights. If any of it collapses, we all fall.
*Everyone* should be able to make their own decisions about their pregnancy, parenting, and their future. RT if you agree the Senate needs to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to defend reproductive rights.
A little industry insider tip. If you're still querying stop. Like the rest of the world, people in publishing are working to close deals, clear off desks, and take a few weeks off. Let them. Query again in mid-January. Happy Holidays!
“They just told me I have cancer. It’s everywhere in my body. And you say you’re a kidney doctor? What the hell are you doing here?”
His voice is gruff, and as he looks at me, I feel the weight of his gaze.
For a moment I hesitate, then ask.
“Mind if I sit down?” 1/
Traveling again for only the second time since the pandemic started - what’s the deal with the super aggressive #tsa agents at #seatac airport this morning?!! Ugly way to start the day.
I have to keep reminding myself that the journey down submission road is a slow, grueling trudge. For good reason. #WritingCommunity#amwriting#amquerying
@BookEndsJessica It’s can also be difficult to delegate when your expectations of yourself are too high. Good point about knowing your limits. As they say, “just because you can doesn’t mean you should.”
Yesterday was rough. I kept my head down and worked. Today I signed two contracts, got an email I’d been waiting for, and learned an absolute legend is going to blurb my next book. Tomorrow might be rough again, but the day after? You never know, so keep putting in the work.
