Rep. Mike Johnson says the federal government used Twitter to censor American's speech:

"Twitter was basically an FBI subsidiary before @elonmusk took it over... The Twitter files should be a matter of bipartisan concern for every member of Congress and every American citizen because it is a bedrock principle of our Constitution that the government does not get to decide what speech is acceptable or true."

Voting is currently in progress, and it appears like Rep. Mike Johnson will become the next Speaker of the House.

My research into church history suggests that the UK somewhat prospered in the mid nineteenth century under the influence of German Prince Albert who greatly encouraged evangelicals along with technological investment and social reform. It led to a revival under leaders like Buxton and later Bishop Tate, Spurgeon and Lord Shaftesbury

Remarkably we are seeing another renaissance of evangelicalism starting in London. The figures suggest that in 2002 church going, Bible reading, praying Christians in London accounted for 6% of the population. The same as the rest of the country. By 2012 that figure had increased to 8% whilst the rest of the country stayed at 6%. By 2022 the figure for London had gone up to 10% whilst the rest of the country remained fixed at 6%.

Rather than immigration destroying our Britishness, it is again revitalising the nation's Christian faith. In the 19th Century the Lord used a German Prince to help change the nation. Today he is using Nigerian, Caribbean and Indian church leaders to inspire a new generation.
