@adefran46 @dj45williams Player X is recruited. X plays really well. Therefore, the offers start rolling in. X finds time to do commercials and wear brands for income. The coach has the ability to play or bench X based on performance, as NIL deals will continue or decline based on the same.

Thank you @dj45williams for making the most common sense statement today about NIL that I’ve heard. I’ve never understood why it ended up how it is. Why in the world do the coaches and universities have to manage paying players anything but scholarships?

@adefran46 @dj45williams I’m ok with the players making money. It’s that they went from one crazy extreme to the other. Just allow college athletes to do what they are doing - hiring agents, doing commercials, etc. Just don’t force the university to hire the athletes. It makes no sense.
