Been filming a #rewilding poem on location at a beaver enclosure with @Whatifyoujustl1. First came here in February to write it. Amazing to see what they've done with the place since! 🦫
@footballtweet I've had a hole-in-one before and it wasn't even a decent shot. I got lucky and I'm shit at golf. Couldn't achieve the other things on a fluke, so it's definitely not that.
Apothecary in the Red Brick Cafe, Bridport ❤️. Spoken word open mic on Tuesday 12th September. Cash only. £2 for performers, £3 for audience. 7pm sign up (no earlier please!) for performers, 7.30pm start.
Prose, poetry, songs.... as long as it's yours, we'd like to hear it!
#Oppenheimer is a truly must-see film. The sheer weight of its themes/ideas, excellently realised in a tight 3hrs, deserves to be seen on the biggest screen available. I tip my fedora.
@CarlBurkitt Jay Stansfield scored his first career hat-trick in front of the Adam Stansfield Stand, wearing the same #ECFC no.9 shirt of his father. Beautiful moment.
1. Education is not a commodity to be 'sold'. It is a human right.
2. It is worth far more in terms of personal development, skills, and knowledge, than simply to 'get a decent job'.
3. Restricting education is not 'widening access'.
4. With all due respect, kindly fuck off now.
Too many students are being sold a university education that won't get them a decent job at the end of it.
So I'm cracking down on rip-off degrees and boosting apprenticeships to ensure students get the best deal possible.
Widening access. Boosting jobs. Growing the economy.
