Now every game is being turned into a financialized anxiety loop.

Every quarter, every pitch, every injury, every referee call, every stat line becomes something to price, chase, curse, and re-bet.

The leagues win.

The apps win.

The states win.

The advertisers win.

The payment rails win.

The user gets the illusion of agency while the house farms his nervous system.

This is what a society does when real economic upside gets harder to reach. Homeownership feels impossible. Wages lag assets. Entry-level jobs get eaten. Debt eats cash flow. Cultural trust collapses. Then the system offers a phone casino and calls it entertainment.

Sports betting is the gamification of despair.

It gives ordinary people the sensation of risk-taking without actual ownership. No business. No equity. No asset. No productive claim. Just a constant drip of almost-winning, wrapped around the emotional architecture of fandom.

The country did not simply legalize a vice. It embedded a vice into the daily attention layer and gave it push notifications.

That will rot people. Quietly. Repeatedly. Especially young men. Especially financially frustrated men. Especially men who want action, status, danger, and a way out but have been handed fewer real ladders.

The final read: this is a late-stage ownership story.

When people cannot access real upside, the system sells synthetic upside.

When people cannot own the game, they are invited to bet on it.

The Elon Musks of the world drive growth, global GDP, and provide access to goods and services at lower cost that would otherwise not exist.

Elon’s nominal trillionaire status is due to his ownership of SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, the Boring Company and his other initiatives that have brought new technologies that improve our everyday lives.

Elon is not sitting on a trillion dollar pile of cash, jewelry and gold. He is using his controlling stakes in his companies to advance mankind. Elon’s companies don’t pay dividends. They reinvest all of their capital to accelerate innovation and value creation.

Elon is working 24/7 for all of us. He deserves respect and appreciation, not smears.

Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built. Socialism has only proven to impoverish mankind and lead to death and destruction.

We need to create the conditions for more SpaceXs to be built, not attack the great entrepreneurs who are helping to advance our country.
