@paullewismoney Anyone with a post graduate degree is also paying back both at the same time so 9% plus 6% so far as I can make out. If you do manage to get a salary above £50270 then about 60% will be deducted if in a workplace pension scheme
@JamesMelville The other issue is that the government is still owed this money until it is written off. Do they seriously expect it all to be paid? If not, why not write it off to the students now rather than sell it at a massive discount to a company later who will still make money from it.

Today's Guardian once again witlessly indulging the pro-homelessness lobby, with some very dubious statistics which it publishes entirely unchallenged.

Unless the RIBA refocuses on the things that architects actually care about—planning, fees, sustainability and procurement—then there's little to be done to arrest this sad, but inexorable slide into irrelevance.

@TristanCorkPost ....and what about the application for scheme on the site adjacent which still appears to be 'pending' app no. 21/05580/F which is significantly higher than V-shed and on a similar site to the Centre for Performing arts
@TristanCorkPost Also look at the application for the additional floor on the Lloyds building app no. 24/02665/LA which appears have the support of Historic England and that's a listed building!
