I told my roommate to bring ₦2,000 and I would also contribute ₦2,000 so we could prepare rice and stew. This was enough for 6 servings (3 servings each).

She said she didn’t have money for rice. Instead, she bought Indomie for ₦700, an egg for ₦250, and a cold Fanta for ₦500, totaling ₦1,450 for just one serving.

What a great waste of money.

It pains me because she doesn’t know how to manage money. Tomorrow when she doesn’t have money to feed, she’ll start cussing her boyfriend for not being able to send her money, or talk about how she won’t give her family money when they are unable to send her money.

But the moment money enters her account, she instantly empties it on sweet mouth. What she’s not supposed to buy, she buys. She doesn’t even bother to save for the days her boyfriend or family won’t be able to send her money.

Too bad.
