@LowCarbonD61778 @MatWoolcraft Cash flow? Jumping to a heat pump is a large upfront cost. Even mine I had to pay it upfront then I got a rebate over 6 years. Whereas paying more for oil may cost more long term but short term is less cash flow pain.

@BladeoftheS Something does not add up, it might be Welsh law, but if it’s a holiday let then it should be declared as a business and pay business rates, which if she only has 1 house/business will qualify for 100% rate relief. Also even at 300% council tax you don’t get to 18k quickly ??

@ProtagonistIvy I fitted AC to a house in the U.K. primarily for heating but it can also cool and it’s amazing. It’s cheaper than oil, nightstore etc about same cost as mains gas to heat but it also cools! Individual room control multi split system!

@fesshole If it’s a modern door you should be able to just pull it gently and the latch will engage. Sounds like it’s out of adjustment if you need to slam it or hold handle down and pull. Both indicate an issue. Latch plate is probably a tiny bit out of position.

@SoCalObserver @CNviolations Green is diesel in USA not Europe where it’s unleaded petrol/gas confused the hell out of me first time I ever drove in USA as went on auto pilot and tried to use green pump as so use to doing that.
