Yesterday, we successfully convened the 35th General Assembly of MEDSAR (Medical Students’ Association of Rwanda), marking the official close of the 2025/2026 mandate.
It was a powerful moment of reflection on a year defined by growth, collaboration, and impact. We celebrated achievements, appreciated the dedication of our members and leaders, and recognized the collective effort that continues to shape our association.
The Assembly also upheld one of our core values, democracy as we conducted elections to choose the leadership for the 2026/2027 mandate. With this, we proudly welcome a new team ready to lead, serve, and build on the foundation laid before them.
As one chapter closes, another begins full of promise, innovation, and continued commitment to advancing medical students and healthcare in Rwanda.

Depression makes everything feel heavy and dark — but resilience is just one small step forward, even when it’s hard. Talk to someone. Rest. Try again. You’re not alone. #MentalHealth#Resilience@vitalmindsug
Depression can feel like being stuck in the dark. No energy, no motivation, everything heavy.
Resilience isn’t pretending you’re fine; it’s taking one small step, even on the hard days.
Talk to someone. Rest. Try again.
You’re not alone, and this won’t define your future.

Epilepsy is not witchcraft, possession, or contagious.
It is a neurological condition that can be treated and controlled.
Yet stigma, myths, and discrimination push people away from care, education, jobs, and dignity.
The real danger isn’t epilepsy, it’s silence and neglect. Access to medicines,Community education and Compassion over fear can make a huge impact.
Health is a human right.
