I’m leading a team at @HHSGov, along with @EDSecMcMahon, targeting the woeful lack of nutrition education in medicine. We can reverse the chronic disease epidemic simply by changing our diets and lifestyles, but to do that, we need nutrition to be a basic part of every doctor’s training.
1. Health is wealth: lifting heavy at 22 feels fine, but your 40-year-old back will thank you if you build consistent sleep, diet, and cardio habits now.
2. Money management: avoid lifestyle inflation; start saving and investing early so time works for you.
3. Long-term relationships: learn to choose partners based on values and stability, not just attraction.
4. Skills & career moves: use your 20s to stack skills, build a network, and try paths before life responsibilities tighten.
5. Mental resilience: practice patience, discipline, and emotional control. These compound just like money.
