@EamonnFlanagan@Coach_GR where I just want to limit variability and not a practitioner who works with it on a daily basis and needs to make programming decisions etc.
@EamonnFlanagan@Coach_GR comes from JH rather than the combination of CT and JH. It has to be context specific though because big differences in mass and drop height will drastically change the kinetic energy the athlete has to deal with on landing. I’m very much coming from this from a research POV only
@EamonnFlanagan@Coach_GR Thanks Eamonn, I think you are referring to this paper https://t.co/GZnQpFOsuo where I explore how performance strategy affects RSI in a drop jump using both calculation methods. For what it's worth, I only ever use the JH/CT method for all the same reasons you've given
Our new 'Female Athlete' microcredential via @SHEResearch_TUS is now open for applications! Developed by @Niamhnic4 and integrated into our @TUS_ie undergraduate Sports Science programme, it is great to be able to offer this module to coaches, parents, players and more!
Absolutely delighted to have passed my PhD Viva today! 😀
Huge thanks to my examiners @comyns_tommy & @RobinHealy for their brilliant input which brought some great discussion.
