10月15日，第138屆中國進出口商品交易會在琶洲廣交會展館正式拉開帷幕！上午9時許，廣交會琶洲展館內熱火朝天地舉行了開館慶賀活動，開展了熱鬧的舞龍舞獅非遺文化表演。值得一提的是，今年還有機器狗披掛上陣一起舞動，現場吸引許多觀眾關註。極具中華傳統文化特色的表演引得現場的國內外客商贊嘆連連，紛紛舉起手機拍攝留念。有的客商甚至開啟了線上直播，將「中國第一展」現場的火熱氛圍向全球各地的客商同步傳遞。
據悉，本屆廣交會展覽面積達155萬平方米，展位總數7.46萬個，參展企業超3.2萬家，均創歷史新高。第一期的開展時間是10月15日至19日，主題為「先進製造」，展覽題材設置廣納新質生產力，聚焦「新三樣」、工業自動化及智能製造、新能源汽車與智慧出行等前沿題材，展覽總面積52萬平方米，展位數量超2.5萬個，參展企業約1.2萬家。

10月10日，在第十五屆全國運動會倒計時30天之際，廣州地標——廣州塔以璀璨燈光宣告第十五屆全國運動會倒計時30天主題活動儀式啟動。

同日，由十五運會和殘特奧會廣州賽區執委會、中共廣州市委金融委員會辦公室、廣州市商務局、廣州市文化廣電旅遊局、廣州市市場監督管理局指導，廣州日報·粵傳媒主辦，廣州銀行、抖音生活服務聯合主辦，廣粵文化·美食導報承辦的「尋找省點計劃」也正式啟動。

據介紹，活動自發布起至11月，把30余款代表性點心劃分為廣府、客家、粵西、潮汕四大「省點戰隊」，通過線上線下聯動的方式，讓每一位消費者投票。最終誕生的「冠軍省點」三甲選手將獲得官方認證和專項金融補貼。
