Cam, the demo doesn't have anti spoofing on. So you've tricked nothing 👎
Any real world use of this tech would have anti spoofing on to stop you using a photo.

As crazy as it sounds, around 2,000 dog thefts were reported across England & Wales in 2020. That's why Corgi breeder Johnathan uses EasyID...because even doggos need to know who they're dealing with 🐶
Helping to create safer spaces online while also minimising personal information shared?
...that's a win in our books.

@AlecMuffett@ICOnews@getyoti Hi Alec,
individuals choose / agree to be age estimated, unlike some CCTV recording of persons walking thru’ public places or looking into shop windows.
& our service doesn’t store the facial image to disk, but processes it (for age estimation) in memory temporarily.
@AlecMuffett@ICOnews@getyoti It processes personal data because the ML looks at a person’s face. But it can’t work out who’s face it is. It can’t compare the face to other faces. It has looked at millions of pixels in consented faces, each tagged with month + year of birth & estimates age. Nothing else.
@AffordableLeath@ICOnews EU GDPR is clear on the importance of protecting citizens’ biometric data. Yoti age estimation doesn’t process biometric data - our solution cannot identify individuals. We agree that regulators must ensure we don’t end up in surveillance states, but do protect children.
@AlecMuffett@ICOnews@getyoti Hi Alec, do come in & ask any questions you wish with our CTO, Paco. We’ve spent 7 years trying very hard to build products that are voluntarily useful to individuals & businesses, are privacy preserving, data minimising & free from surveillance. Paco can discuss testing.
@AlecMuffett@ICOnews Very important #anonymity is preserved. Businesses using Yoti #ageestimation, with an individual’s consent, can check someone is under 18 or over 18 without identifying anyone or storing any images. Protect children, protect #privacy.
@AffordableLeath@ICOnews Growing number of adult content, games & telecoms brands using Yoti privacy preserving age estimation. >500m age estimations to date, not a single person identified, or image stored to disk by Yoti. Age estimation is very hard for children or adults to spoof & anonymous for all.
@The_AVPA@5RightsFound@ICOnews Next week Yoti publishes its latest world leading age estimation white paper with for 1st time ever results for estimating children under or over 13.
Soon be easy for businesses to ensure young children (11 or younger) can’t sign up to, & use, 13+ apps & websites.
Great to see regulations being put in place to protect people online.
We've developed a suite of simple, secure and privacy preserving age solutions at @getyoti to protect the young and vulnerable from #OnlineHarms.
