@RichardJMurphy Let me explain it to you in really simple terms. Market expects a left wing leader wljld increase borrowing needs. That increases bond supply. And when the supply of something goes up, its price goes down.
@HectorWMcNeill@RichardJMurphy@YouTube Well, new Keynesian macro, the dominant school, is very explicitly micro-founded. It assumes agents have certain preferences and then aggregates the implied behaviours. It explains observed macro fluctuations surprisingly well considering how complex the economy is.
@RichardJMurphy@YouTube@RichardJMurphy I would always defer to you on matters of accounting. But there are many inaccuracies, sweeping statements and assertions that betray a lack of understanding of micro/macro. Happy to discuss. We can stream the debate on your youtube chan. Yours, a macroeconomist.
@Jackiew80333500 … it’s happening to Shamima because she chose to leave this country and support ISIS, one of the most brutal terror organisations the world has seen with the blood of thousands of innocents on their hands. She chose to join them. Actions and choices have consequences.
@RichardJMurphy But @RichardJMurphy there are multiple channels of causality here, so it’s disingenuous to reduce it to just one portfolio rebalancing channel. Also, lags and counterfactuals. Happy to debate any time.
