They will lead you to the “safe” choice like Hillary Clinton, Kamala, Harris, Joe Biden… maybe you get lucky but often you lose. Obama is the only Dem bright spot this century, thanks to defeating the establishment in a primary.

@JeffDenning @mattyglesias My take is that Democrats have been the party of policy wonks who are on the left end of the cultural spectrum. The party seems to have gotten less and less popular over this time, minus Obama himself. Hillary Clinton lost because Dems undervalue anti-establishment sentiment.
