🌈💔 UPDATE: The baby hedgehog has sadly died.

We're sharing this post from Thorne Hedgehog Rescue C.I.C.

A tiny 245g hoglet was kicked repeatedly and left near death. The footage is horrific. A second clip shows one of the offenders taking a photo of what he’s done.

The charity says this is just one of many cases they’ve reported with video evidence, vet bills, witness statements and injury reports — only to be told “no further action” because offenders “can’t be identified”. They are sickened and furious that this keeps happening without accountability.

A child filmed the attack, got the hedgehog help, and offered to be a witness — braver than the “men” who carried out the violence.

They need names.

If you recognise the individuals, please message the charity confidentially. They will be reporting this to police and want names to go with the footage.

Let me lay out the facts for you. Verified. On the record.

Thursday night — Glebe Farm and Tile Cross. Two seats. Workers Party wins one. Reform wins the other.

The result is recounted. Same result.

Recounted again. Same result.

All parties present. All parties watching. Both times — identical.

Then @BhamCityCouncil insists on a third recount — on Monday.

And today — on the fourth count —

Seven brand new ballot papers appear from nowhere. 🤔

Not found Thursday.
Not found in recount one.
Not found in recount two.

Found today. After a weekend where the council couldn't be contacted by anyone.

Now here is the part that should make every person in Birmingham sit up.

The man who lost his seat to the Workers Party in this ward is @CllrJohnCotton.

Not just any candidate.

The leader of Birmingham City Council.

And now — on the fourth attempt — seven votes appear.

The @WorkersPartyGB led by six.

Seven new votes. Six vote lead. You do the maths.

Three counts. Same result every time. Every party watching.

Then a weekend of silence.
Then a fourth count nobody asked for.
Then seven votes nobody can explain.

This is not incompetence.
This is not exhausted staff.
This is not a clerical error.

This is a question that every single person who believes in democracy needs to be asking right now.

Where did those seven votes come from?

Who had access to them over the weekend?

Why did three counts miss them?

And why is the mainstream media completely silent?

The Electoral Commission needs to be all over this.

Because if this can happen in Birmingham — it can happen anywhere.

Don’t let them eat cake!

Just when you thought you’d heard it all from Labour, this happened…

Labour run Bassetlaw District Council, which covers part of my constituency, is imposing a tax on people selling homemade cakes or fresh eggs from boxes at their front gates.

They’ve set this absurd tax at an astonishing £1,007. Yes, you read that correctly, everyone who has the audacity to try to make a few quid from a bit of home baking, or offers boxes of fresh eggs, usually with an honesty box, has to pay Labour a stonking great fee for the privilege.

As most people don’t even make £1,007 a year for doing this, presumably this is designed to end this harmless and in fact very endearing practice altogether.

Honesty boxes, eggs, cakes, biscuits, sold at a farm gate or the end of the driveway in a rural village.. what could be more quintessentially English. Well, not under Labour. These people govern us as if they hate our country.

To make the whole thing more absurd, the fine for failing to pay the £1,007 had been set at £1,000. So you would be better off not paying at all and get fined…

I’ve written to Bassetlaw District Council to protest. Bassetlaw’s common sense Reform UK councillors are committed to reversing this idiocy if they take control of the council next year. Another reason to boot out Labour and back Reform UK.
