@hockeyesque Wrote a haiku, sort of by accident, during some severe insomnia after my appendix surgery 2 weeks ago.
Just found it in my notes and had to post it here after this interaction:
The ice will crack some
time but it’s ok to skate
today on the lake
@hockeyesque
It’s winter, and grim and dark in Halifax.
The weather, the news, people’s moods.
How are the “ass crack trees” treating you? I’ve been singing to help insomnia and recovery from surgery. Gonna belt out some Harmelodia tomorrow, hopefully after I sleep a bit!
@hockeyesque Just finished a Harmelodia listen, first time In a while.
Such beautiful generous work! Bravo!
Canada needs its Rheos more than ever right now!
@rupasubramanya@gpr90662b@acoyne In the hospital where they saved my life this weekend,
The first doctor who treated me was Iranian.Recent <10 years. He hasn’t been screwed over. & He helped save my life.
The problem isn’t “liberalism “.
Or “conservatives” either…
It’s unfettered multinational capitalism.
@AxTheEx@NHLPlayerSafety@ColinSNewsday@NHL He has 2 points in his whole 20 game career.
Heiskanen has 19 multi point games in the last season and a quarter alone.
Overrated thug who will wash out permanently, hopefully before he injures a player with actual talent.
@elonmusk This is just a bunch of unsupported assertions strung together and presented uncritically as expertise.
Apparently Russia is just an innocent victim?!?
Give me a break.
This is your supposed citizen journalism?
Pathetic simping for Putin.
@SeeClickFlash@LindaMcQuaig@CBCNews Talk about missing the point: CBC is the only Television news org in Canada that is free from the political influence of it's ownership.
Because it's owners are the public, and that public is pluralistic and not partisan.
Defunding public news won't help polarization.
@jamiemclennan29
So can you change a goalie on an icing?
That would be easily exploited, right?
Sounds like the @NHL needs a new rule.or a subsection of a rule.
You would be the citation in the origin story!
@goonda13 @realfatapollo @CTVSteveMurphy@TimHoustonNS@CTVAtlantic Dexter made unpopular decisions and paid for them, but those decisions weren't really that bad.
His main mistakes, which lost him his own party: not making the usual public service patronage appointments, & he wasn't progressive enough.
Also, t'was 13 years ago can we move on?
@DreaHumphrey@theBreakerNews It's in the actual election rules you ignoramus.
The box is sealed with a counter signed sticker, and tampering with it is a serious crime.
It's been this way in Canadian elections for decades.
Just shut your pie hole and wait for the results.
@gen_1964 @TimHoustonNS BS. He's just decided to pull the lever while the tide is flowing in his direction.
And STABILITY? The only stability I see in Nova Scotia is that I STILL can't find a family doctor.
Unsurprisingly, the guy who used to help rich people dodge paying taxes is still doing it.
