As a @SJAThunderBay volunteer, I was glad to capture a few moments from last week’s appreciation event and emergency exercise. Recognition, readiness, teamwork, and service all in one day. Proud to serve alongside such dedicated people. #tbay@SJAOntario
Today our dispatch sent a special retirement call for Brian, marking the end of his remarkable 41-year career as a paramedic in Nipigon. Thank you, Brian - it’s been an honour to be your full-time partner. Looking forward to celebrating with you at your retirement party tomorrow!
A little noise, a lot of horsepower, and one great community event! Volunteering with @SJAOntario, providing medical coverage at the Monster Truck show.

King Charles III will deliver a Speech from the Throne on Tuesday—his first visit to Canada since the coronation. This marks only the second time a Sovereign has opened Parliament, the first being Queen Elizabeth II in 1957.
🇨🇦 A message from His Majesty The King to the people of Canada, celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the National Flag of Canada.
🇨🇦 Un message de Sa Majesté le Roi aux Canadiens à l’occasion du 60e anniversaire du drapeau national du Canada.
On this day in 1965, Canada’s red and white maple leaf flag was raised for the very first time on Parliament Hill.

May 19 to 25 is #ParamedicServicesWeek.
This week, and every week, our government recognizes all of Ontario’s paramedics who step up every day to provide high-quality care in communities across the province.
Cardiac arrest can strike anyone, anywhere, at any age, without warning. 60,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests are happening in Canada each year.

I often wonder what sort of legacy we leave as paramedics.
Today I found out that long after humanity is nothing more than a memory, the birds will still sing our song.
Your actions behind the wheel can have serious consequences.
If you’re out celebrating, arrange for a designated driver, take public transit or call a cab or rideshare – don’t drive impaired.
Do your part to keep our roads safe over the holidays.

As with every Remembrance Day, I reflect on the bravery and sacrifice made by veterans and the Canadian Armed Forces. This year I was honoured to represent SNEMS #Paramedics and lay a wreath at the ceremony.
