@ericfisher Wondering how far the coastal front pushes into Metrowest, gonna be a tight gradient starting around Wellesley/Needham with the terrain holding the maritime air at bay.
(3/3) Combine that with the band(s) pivoting over Eastern/SE New England and 2-4 in/hr rates - somebody will end up with 3 feet nearby. Given the magnitude of lift within the DGZ, some rumbles of thunder are likely in the most intense areas. Here we go!

(2/3) These bands are tricky - anecdotally I’ve seen these end up NW of hi-res guidance often. Subsidence will lower rates quickly on either side, but picturesque upper level dynamics will keep snow widespread. Ensembles place these band(s) anywhere from Chatham to Worcester tmrw
