The claim that the UK could have built a 'trillion pound wealth fund' from oil and gas revenues is pure political theatre, but I suppose we should be relieved that Treasury officials have nothing more pressing to do! 🙄
Three more substantial points... 🧵
Line two in the firearm safety manual is a weapon is never safe UNTIL YOU HAVE CHECKED IT YOURSELF.
And you still don’t point it at anyone, even if it’s safe.
I’m pretty sure you don’t know this.
Bob has lost all reason. The worst of the zealots.
Of course there is a green case. It's a well known fact that LNG shipments cause significantly more emissions than domestic production.
Well done shrinking private sector we’re now expected to fund a projected £60 BILLION a year in public sector pension costs!
Public sector pay growth - 6.3%.
Private sector pay growth -3%.
Higher state pension contributions. Guaranteed, inflation linked retirement incomes. And greater job security.
And millions in the private sector carry their entire weight with nothing like the perks or the security!
It’s all about to fall over 💣
⚠️ Mertz drops the bomb … Germany is actively encouraging the replacement of its workforce with AI.
At the same time, its government is discussing taxing AI generated revenues and ‘reimagining’ universal basic income. The UN, BIS, WEF all have papers detailing this shift.
There will be vast numbers of unemployed, dependent on the state and unable to better themselves through work….
And that might make them uncontrollable … why else would governments be rushing ahead with centralised digital ID?
And er… what will we do with all the migrants?
my best selling book A War To Win Back Your World details exactly what is happening and why ⚠️
"We need to talk up the benefits of migration."
What does diversity actually sound like?
Abena Oppong-Asare (Labour): "In my constituency, I can walk into any primary school classroom and hear over 50 languages."
This is what she means; how exactly does that benefit Britain?
🚨Sneaked out by OFGEM this morning, a warning for the first time EVER they cannot guarantee that demand will be met on a peak day in winter.
Let’s be clear what that means. They cannot guarantee that homes will be warm, lights come on or industry function on a peak day this winter.
And why? Because of an accelerated decline in domestic gas supply from the North Sea.
So what is the solution? For British bill payers to pay more, to IMPORT more from Europe (specifically Belgium) to keep the lights on in Britain.
Britain. A country with vast supplies of gas, untapped, deliberately due to Labour policy now going cap in hand to Europe and paying vast sums to import foreign gas.
It is utterly outrageous. You couldn’t make it up.

The crazy thing is that the electricity grid is far more vulnerable. Issues with gas are coming but probably not this winter. We're already seeing lots of problems with electricity
It has been mere hours since Andy Burnham gave the go-ahead to Jackdaw, and Labour backbenchers are already throwing a tantrum. Eighteen have publicly condemned the decision so far, with many more agreeing in private.
In a letter to Miatta Fahnbullah, sent last night before the announcement, Labour MPs moaned:
We must resist shortsighted calls to abandon progress towards net zero, which would accelerate the destruction of our natural world while doing nothing to bring down bills.

‘We have to take into account the energy mix we have in this country.’
‘Pure economic vandalism.’
Norman Baker and Will Kingston debate the Labour government's acceptance of Jackdaw but the potential rejection of further drilling in Rosebank.
‘How absolutely insane.’
GB News’ Will Kingston discusses a ‘woke madness’ debate that has arisen over the removal of mummies on display at a Scottish museum because they cannot give ‘informed consent’.
This poll was commissioned by PLMR CEO Kevin Craig, a Labour activist. 6.6K people took part, not 10K Rupert. And you're in fact below the Greens.
Results predict one seat for Restore, hardly "superb progress". PLMR are heavily involved in N10 North.
