Angus Mortimer, a 38-year-old former kayaker who represented Canada at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, has been given a lifetime ban from participating in any capacity with Canoe Kayak Canada.
Even as @CanoeKayakCAN announced Mortimer’s expulsion, hundreds of publicly-funded provincial and federal sports federations across Canada continue to keep secret the names of people they have sanctioned. Many won't even answer questions about why they refuse to share this information with the public.
