Amazingly, today marks 7 years since I first uploaded on the Rocket Jump Ninja channel...
I went from player to reviewer to mouse designer. And now the @Xtrfy MZ1 is wireless! Thanks for all the support, here's a video to celebrate the anniversary!

@Matty_OW KovaaK's is based on Quake. The answer to all your problems is Quake, especially 1v1 Clan Arena / CA / Arena Kings mode. No nonsense, just full armour and health, all ammo and weapons, see who has the best aim and dodge. It's what I play most!
According to what I'm seeing on here, the world is a mess and no longer safe for anyone. Best to just stay inside and game.
(The above is probably not true, but just pretend it is because the end advice is still good ... as long as you still eat well, exercise and get some sun)
@s1ckox Wait, main game change? I talked about that in the Top 5 for CS because it's very x-axis based aiming, so you benefit from having a much longer mouse.
But ULX is quite long and good for CS, COD is more X and Y, so you'd want a slighter bigger mouse for the stability balance.
@dazztrazak Yeah it's still the case in 2026.
Mouse tech has been basically flawless for years, weights are really low, click feel is fine too... but shape (including size) is a huge factor for mouse choice.
Maybe you're using too many clones or none that are right for your hand size.
@huddledaim Awesome, will def look.
I gotta rely on assets in Unreal because my game idea is heavily based on one huge, complicated feature. If I can't get that, the game idea won't work. So it's Unreal only for me for the concept. If it gets picked up, hopefully they can code it properly.
Any game devs using AI to test concepts out?
As in, is AI good enough yet to make something basic to see if the ideas are worth exploring further before proper development?
I don't have time to develop games but I have an idea that could be cool... need AI to make a pre-alpha.
@huddledaim Well that's good to hear that it can be sped up, I'm not going to do anything official with it, so as long as I can stumble my way to something broken but good enough, I'm happy. Awesome that you do these little projects on the side, look forward to seeing what you come up with!
@Carter_OW Yeah that's my experience so far too, except it wasn't even at the stage where it could get anything close to right. Relying on random tutorials had better results.
Maybe I just put the concept out and see if anyone wants to try to make it, depending on community response.
@FoonThing@PlayEmpulse Nah load up Quake and do two tests:
1. Strafe left and right
2. Run forward and then add left and right strafes
Now do the same in Apex Legends, and tell me that game doesn't feel like a brick on skates.
Game makers need to stop punishing lateral (left and right) movement.
@NEKR1D@PulsarGears Yeah I hope all companies embrace it, because all these minor tech upgrades we're getting in the latest gen of mice don't really affect gameplay... but the right shape? That definitely will.
Thanks Pulsar for continuing to push the message!
@FATAL1TY@therealcliffyb You can move pretty quickly in some games, the problem is the lateral movement is so bad. That's what I mean by "brick on skates" (Apex Legends prime example).
Quake gives you that beautiful fluid movement on diagonals, side to side as well as forward. Feels fast and great.
@jakeufps@StevenP015 Even a ball mouse would be easier to play with than some of the really bad laser mice around.
I was still scoring pretty high with a ball mouse: https://t.co/cbRXR3iKO6
@DrGamerSuchti@StevenP015 ... that's the joke. Old man yells at cloud is hilarious, it's just the way you say these things. It's really not that serious.
I gotta wonder... is he going to be playing his best with the pad potentially distorted from not being flat on the desk and his posture leaned so far forward? Or could he be even better with certain things corrected? Can't argue with results... or maybe we can? 🤔
